It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Educational Opportunity Fund Professional Association of New Jersey (EOFPANJ). Last year, the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) celebrated its 40th anniversary. Since our inception, our association has grown to represent nearly two hundred higher education professionals who are dedicated toward the development and academic success of nearly 12,000 college students throughout New Jersey. Despite the success of EOF, the state of New Jersey and our nation at large are both faced with unparalleled economic and social challenges. As President, it is my sincere hope that through our collective efforts, we can work together to continue to address and meet the issues and challenges that lie ahead for both our EOF students and the state of New Jersey.

"Developing Today's Leaders into Tomorrow's Leaders" is the theme that we have developed for the 2009-2010 academic year. It is our belief that EOF students not only represent some of the best and brightest academic performers found at each institution, but they also represent the next generation of leaders who will look to positively transform our great nation.

EOF has had a long and rich history of providing access and opportunity to thousands of students due to the hard work and dedication of the EOF professionals, the EOF Board of Directors, and the Commission on Higher Education. It is the goal of this administrative board to ensure that we continue this long standing tradition over the next two years as we work diligently toward ensuring that EOF and the state of New Jersey both continue to serve as a model of academic excellence throughout the nation.
